Making Chicken and Noodles today.  Slow cooking in crock pot.  Should be delicious.

Well yesterday was Gumbo Day.  I always make gumbo from the leftover turkey.  It turned out really well, although a bit spicy.

Very happy that Alabama lost yesterday.  I'm really tired of seeing them every year in the playoffs.  Of course they could still e there but hopefully not a the number 1 team.

Thanksgiving Dinner was great.  had roommate and three other guests over.

However I really got upset ,and mad, at my roommate later.  As my grandmother used to say: "I'm so mad I could spit bullets."  I won't go into details here and am sure I'll get over it by tomorrow, but for today...........

I don't understand the American shopper.  They go out of their way to follow the desires of corporate America and spend a lot of unnecessary money just because businesses tell us we should shop on Black Friday!  I saved so much today buy not shopping for, and buying, unnecessary things.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving.  I have the rolls done. The pie is cooked and the dressing and candied yams are prepared.  They just need to go into the oven tomorrow along with the turkey.

Today Sears is supposed to come install the new refrigerator and take the old one away.  They were scheduled to do that last Saturday but things were so screwed up none of that happened except that they left my replacement hooked up in the dining room so I could have some use of it.

I suspect the sexual abuse attention will soon fade once some new crisis happens.  It is no different that gun violence or any other nation (international) incident.  We, and the press, seem to have a very short attention span.  We quickly move from today's hot issue to the next and seem to forget all about today's issues.

Starting to prepare for Thanksgiving.  Baking rolls today.

And then there is the tax thing.  What a boondoggle for the rich if it ever becomes law.
I can't believe I am 78 today!

Took Luna for a walk this morning.  It was so windy out that I had to remove the bluetooth from my ear before the wind blew it out.  I had considerable damage yesterday from the wind.

These are depressing times with all the sexual harassment allegations going on.  I fear it is just starting.  Where is the moral leadership we need?  It doesn't matter if it is men against women or men against men, or for that matter women doing the harassing it isn't right.  I think a symptom of the problem was yesterday when Chris Matthews on Hardball made a statement that implied it was OK if it wasn't government connected.  IT IS WRONG IN ANY SETTING, PERIOD!  Just like racism is wrong in any setting, period.

I haven't posted in several days.  I need to get back to posting something every day.

Just tried to call my Aunt.  She is having heart problems.  No answer.  I'll keep trying.

Several weeks ago I submitted an application for funding of my airline.  Not heard a word from the people and have been calling and no answer and their voice mail is full.  I suspect a scam operation.  I did find an email address so I'm trying that as well.  Don't expect anything in return.  LOL

Roy Moore:  I'm beginning to think he will get elected and nothing will be done about it.  Just like guns (I see there was another mass shooting today in Northern California.)

With inaction on important issues all they see to want to do is give tax breaks to the wealthy.  When will we ever get back on track??????

Barry Michaels is once again running for office.  This time for Senate as an independent!  I worked with this man for almost a year and I must say that he is nothing but a con artist.  He was convicted and served time for it and as best as I could tell it serving time didn't change him.

There is no way he can win; but now he will take votes away from whomever the Democratic candidate is since his views are more aligned with Democrats than Republicans.

If he truly wants to run he should run as a Democrat or a Republican.  That way he won't affect the results in the general election.

Yesterday's chili turned out great.  I made up a new recipe and it worked.

So now we have one more allegation against Roy Moore...........chili abuse!  why is it that so many with issues run for elected office?  Or is it just a reflection about all of us in general?

I took Luna for a walk this morning.  It was a very nice day but I was hot with my sweat shirt on.

She enjoyed it even though we didn't see any other dogs.  LOL

It was in the 40's last couple of nights.  Time to make a batch of chili. Yummy

Seeing if I can add pictures here.
Well so far I seem to be blogging solely for myself.  LOL  I wonder if anybody can access my blog?  Time will tell.
This is a must see:  All Governments Lie: Truth, Deception, and the Spirit of I.F. Stone (2016)
Well, what a pleasant surprise.  I was totally wrong about last night's election results.  It was pretty much a blowout for Dems.  Let's hope this foretells the future for next year and 2020.

For the past couple of days we have heard nothing but blabber about the shooting in Texas.  It was horrific; but another killing happened in Henderson, NV and it got no coverage at all (at least I haven't seen any national coverage.) A man killed his 14 year old son because he was gay.  He said he would rather have a dead son than a gay son.

I wonder how many other people in the United States think the same way?  It is unconscionable to me that someone could even think about killing his own off-spring, but clearly some can.

What is this world coming to? Being gay is no more a choice than being black or Chinese or a man or woman.  It is what it is.  Why can't we learn to accept our differences and enjoy the fact that we all bring something to the table.
Today is election day in many places.  It will be interesting to see if Democratic candidates can make any headway.  I have my doubts, actually.

Something is happening in this country that is sinister and shameful:  I fear we are moving far away from what always made us great: a open society that welcomed people from all beliefs, races, genders, etc.  Of course there were always those who didn't; but until recently they were in the minority.  With the Presidential election of 2016 all that has changed.
Good Morning on November 7, 2017.  This is my first blog and a test.
